For Hi-fi or Home Cinema, Sennheiser Hi-fi transducers with powerful neodymium magnets ensures clear, high-resolution playback and the Kleer transmission technology delivers uncompressed lossless transmission of the audio.
The stylish headsets combine quality sound with excellent comfort. The soft padded ear cups and adjustable headbands, are specifically designed for hours of listening.
The headphones themselves differ in their coupling to the ear. The 160 and 170 have a closed, circumaural design for private listening, the 180 is an open, circumaural design for the very best sound.
The RS 160 comes with a compact and portable transmitter; the RS 170 and RS 180
include a multi-purpose transmitter which doubles as a cradle and docking station.

Sennheiser is using new KLEER wireless technology that transmits at 2.37MB/s peak
bit rate and is able to carry full CD-quality stereo audio, without lossy compression.
Additionally, this system has unprecedented immunity to interference in the
increasingly crowded 2.4GHz band and offers ultra low power consumption.

Power & control
All three models use AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, which can easily be replaced at the end of their life. All three have volume and function controls on the headphone. The RS 160 portable transmitter can be powered by AA batteries with a 24hr battery life
Plug and Play
When the transmitter is connected to any audio or video device, it automatically transmits
the audio data to the headphones: switch them on, put them on and sit back and enjoy.
The 2.4-gigahertz digital radio ensures smooth transmission with a high signal-to-noise
ratio. The Kleer technology delivers uncompressed sound, is almost immune to interference
and allows the sharing of up to four headphones via one transmitter.

The set-up of transmitter and receivers is easy and straightforward,
just plug and play. There is no pairing processes involved.
