The jaw-dropping Paradigm Reference Signature SUB 1 and SUB 2 will have their UK premier at this year’s Bristol Show. These are the flagship models in the growing line of high-performance, smart subwoofers from Paradigm Electronics Inc., the international leader in speaker design and manufacturing, that was launched in the UK last year.
Not only does the SUB 2 play lower and louder than any other subwoofer in the world - not to mention cleaner and more articulate – but it achieves this with a cabinet that could be mistaken for a very fine piece of furniture, whilst being a size that won’t dominate the average living room.
How can it achieve all this? By using six cutting edge 10” drivers in each subwoofer, the SUB 1 moves more air than a pair of 15” subwoofers, whilst vibration cancelling design architecture ensures bass reproduction is eerily accurate and detailed. Transient information is conveyed with pristine clarity and perfect precision, whilst dynamics come through with lightening-fast speed and a power so shattering that it must be heard to be believed.
The statistics speak for themselves: the SUB 2 plumbs the depths to 7Hz with bloodcurdling output measuring 112dB at 10Hz and 126dB at 60Hz (in room). The SUB 2 delivers 4,500 watts of continuous power and a Frankenstein 9,000 watts of peak power through its unique Power Factor Correction system. All this power truly brings music and movies to life!
If all this is too much for you, then the SUB 1 uses six 8” drivers – allowing it to move more air than a pair of 12” subwoofers – in the same vibration cancelling design architecture. With 1,700 watts of continuous power and 3,400 watts of peak power, the SUB 1 is still no slouch when it comes to serious bass reproduction.
To ensure optimum performance is obtained, both of these subwoofers can be used with Paradigm’s Perfect Bass Kit, which analyses the subwoofer’s response in your room, then sets the correct equalisation parameters to attain optimal sound.
