Visitors to room 420 at the Bristol Show will be among the first in the country to see Optoma’s new 4K UHD laser projector – the UHZ65.

Optoma and Into AV distribution will demonstrate the new 4K UHD projector which harnesses ground-breaking laser technology along with the same high-end specifications as the UHD65 – recently awarded ‘Product of the Year’ in the projectors category at the What Hi-Fi Awards 2017.

It will project onto a Grandview Fixed Frame 4K screen, fitted with the latest material technology certified for 4K by ISF. The fabric is coated in 1 micron diamond optical microgrooves capable of reproducing pure 4K resolution. This coating along with the white base layer reflects the original image from the projector with the utmost detail and accuracy.

Equipped with high-quality laser illumination, the UHZ65 provides increased efficiency to maintain consistent brightness, superior colour performance, instant on/off and an extraordinary life span of up to 20,000 hours.

Capitalising on the fast switching speed of the DLP chip with XPR technology and advanced image processing, 8.3 million pixels are delivered to the screen without alignment issues, especially critical at 4K, with four times as many pixels as 1080p. This brings ultimate clarity to home users.

With its full 8.3 million on-screen pixels, the new model meets the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) requirements for 4K UHD and complies with the CTA High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatible display standards. This guarantees razor sharp, vivid images capable of showing more details than standard HD. The UHZ65 also fully supports HDCP 2.2, the latest evolution of copy protection so users can enjoy the fast-growing choice of 4K content.

Featuring Optoma’s Amazing Colour technology, users have the freedom to select the best setting for the content.

With its sleek black casing and 3000 lumens, this model produces stand-out images for those looking for a dedicated home cinema projector. The UHZ65 also boasts sophisticated PureMotion frame-interpolation technology. This advanced processing eliminates motion blur or image judder, even in high-speed action films or fast-paced sports.

Packed with the latest features, the new model is whisper quiet and comes complete with integrated speakers that provide powerful 8W audio, with exceptional sound quality. S/PDIF audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

Installation is simple with vertical lens shift, 1.6x zoom and a host of connection options such as two HDMI ports and Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) for compatible phones and tablets. In addition, the UHZ65 can be turned into a smart projector by connecting a HDMI dongle like the Google Chromecast™ or Amazon Fire TV to access popular media services and stream TV shows, films and video clips, play games and share photos on the big screen.
