Grado Cartridges

Grado Cartridges

Grado Labs is a family owned, American company that has been producing the finest audio products since 1953 in their workshop in Brooklyn, New York. The company is founded by Joseph Grado (1924-2015), a remarkable inventor who is responsible for more innovations in phono cartridge design than any other person in our lifetime, inventing the stereo moving coil (MC) phono cartridge and holding more than 48 patents. Through three generations the Grado family has kept the tradition of putting sound first. Grado produces the world’s finest phono cartridges, all hand-crafted and tested. Grado is known for the application of different types of wood for their phono cartridges, including Cocobolo, Maple and Jarrah for an unparalleled sound stage, capturing the nuance, detail and emotion of the recorded music. This meticulous care in design and construction lavished on each Grado cartridge contributes to an unchallenged consistency of performance and guarantee of reliability. Grado offers cartridges for all budgets starting from £ 99,00 for the Prestige Black3 all the way to £ 10.800 for the Lineage Epoch3.

Grado Phono Cartridges are distributed in the UK, Ireland and the Benelux by Tonar International.
